Simple Scan

SimpleScan does not work with my HP Scanjet 2200c

SimpleScan does not work with my HP Scanjet 2200c.
The lamp turns on and the scan carriage locks up in about a quarter inch of movement.
This same thing happens with Xsane until I configure the lamp warmup time to about 10 seconds. The default time in Xsane is -1.
Is there a way to configure this setting in SimpleScan?
Should it be possible, I am guessing that it will work with this scanner.

Solved. After researching and reading that the default lamp warmup is 30 seconds, I just waited longer after the supposed lock up and, voila, it worked. My perceived lock up was just the longer than expected warm up time.
