Image Caption

Asked by mallow

This is a feature suggestion

The current feature for image caption changes the alt text of an image so that when the mouse hovers over the image a text describing the image occurs. Sometimes however one might want to put a caption right under the image. Purhaps a feature that could be added in the image property of Kupu is a checkbox (or two which I will explain later) This checkbox would give the option of placing the alt text as a caption under the photo. That way you can have text under the photo yet still have the photo float left or right with the main article. Right now the way I do a caption is put the image inside of a table and a caption either on the top or bottom of the picture (usually bottom), this is fine except the article doesn't form around the picture. To counter act that I put two columns and attempt to size up the article so that it flows as nicely as I can get it, however there is still a distingiushible break. (Although I doubt the viewer would bother to notice. So the main purpose for this would be to add a caption to a photograph and still have it float left or float right...

And if such a feature is to be implemented, technically another checkbox could be added to give credit for the picture, have say
(c) photographer written on the verticle axis right next to the picture in question (this could always be surpressed in the alt too

All in all this would be very low priority feature, and I wouldn't want you guys to implement it if I'm the only one interested, but if other people show interest, I guess it could be something to consider.
