system requirements and getting started

My system is an Intel box running windoze XP pro.

- What are the system requirements for installing / running the application?
- I downloaded the .exe and extracted all the files into a directory. How do I start the program ?

Upon installation, Sikuli asks if you want to add start menu and/or desktop shortcuts. If you uncheck those boxes, go to C:\Program Files\Sikuli and double-click Sikuli-IDE. Unsure of system requirements.

Hmmm. I tried running the .exe. It brought up a winrar session to extract some folders and files. Thinking winrar became the default for some file type, I uninstalled it. I then tried running the .exe, and it now hangs with "Windoze cannot open this file: install.jar". After the files are extracted, is there some command to run an install from a directory?

Found the problem. java was not installed. Once java was installed, the .exe extracted and installed all files correctly.
Suggestion might be to have the installer check for pre-requisites.
