want to automate the desktop application on linux machine

Hi,
I want to automate the desktop application on Linux machine
So, my question is, Is this tool is able to do the same and resolve my problem

Followed process-
1. Application is launched by terminal it is not having any port No or local host setup
2. It's having a path through working.area

Now please guide me how do i use sikuliX if it is able to do the same
