Can Sikuli send USB HID commands to the DUT?

The Device Under Test has a USB HID interface. The DUT receive keyboard characters, mouse left/right clicks, mouse wheel, a bar coder and/or other similar inputs. Can Sikuli generate HID USB inputs to mimic these?

SikuliX as such has a specific feature set (mainly search in images and send mouse/keyboard events), that is used in scripts (Jython, Ruby, JavaScript and other Java aware scripting environments) and in Java programs or other Java aware programming tools.

So if there is some support/library to do what you want, that can be used in one of those scenarios, then you have to give it a try.
