Cannot open file that is located on different volume via subprocess.Popen

I'm using sikili 1.1.3 on Mac and 2.0.1 on PC. Launching them both as admin and have full access on my folders on another volumes. Yet when I try to execute any file, say, subprocess.Popen ('/Volumes/Work/pic.png') I receive error:

"Cannot run program '/Volumes/Work/pic.png' (in directory '/Users/User'): error=13, Permission denied."

Is this a Sikuli limitation or is there something wrong with my permissions?

Please try something with subprocess.Popen, that is runnable.
