hotkey function while running in virtualbox

Asked by rocketman1991

Hello,

I want to run Sikuli while having linux open in virtualbox on windows. I defined my Hotkey function with ctrl + F1 which is then supposed to interrupt my while cycle, however, this does not work, when i press the hotkey combination, the program does not interrupt. Anybody have an idea on how to resolve this?

Thank you!

This may be caused by using VirtualBox.
Does it work when you press the VirtualBox host key first (usually reight ctrl), and then ctrl + F1?

Hello Manfred, thank you for your reply! Do you know what the code for the right ctrl key is, which is the host key in virtual box. i could set it to left alt, but thats my fail safe at the moment to close windows by pressing alt+f4.
Thank you!

Why do you need the code?
What I meant was:
if you want to abort your script, press the right alt key and then ctrl-F1 manually.
