"click" does nothing on OSX Mojave

I have a working script that ive tested on a linux box and it works but the same script fails to run on a OSX Mojave.

Im using RJB gem to load the latest nightly Sikuli API and then have a simple script that looks for an image and then clicks on it. Sikuli finds the image but when it executes the line for click the image, the execution just goes into an endless state where it doesnt do anything no error or timeout.

Ive made sure that my IDE is part of the privacy list that is allowed to interact with other apps. Is there something that im missing?

current java version is 11 but ive tried other versions as well. Again this script works perfectly fine if i run it on a linux box. Any help would be appreciated. thanks
