Is Sikuli Slides still relevant? --- I do not know --- ask the developer

Asked by Mike Feury

Hello All,

I tried to download Sikuli Slides 1.5.0 from…
https://slides.sikuli.org/download/
…but all 5 Dropbox links there lead to 404s.

Fishing around, I saw a mention that SikuliX is the successor to Slides.

Is this the case, should I forget about Slides & work with X?

Thanks,
Lugh.

Sikuli Slides is a parallel Project to Sikuli/SikuliX of one of the two original developers (Tom Yeh).

As I can see: last activity in 2014.

So I guess, today it should still work, but might have problems with java versions beyond 8.

So if you want to try it, you have to build it from sources (Maven project).

In general: Sikuli Slides and SikuliX are not compatible at any implementation nor usage level, they only offer similar features for visual automation.

A pro for Slides: it has a recorder.

I had emailed Tom, but he's away on paternity leave. I couldn't find an email for the other dev.

Since there isn't interoperability, I'll stick with SikuliX.

Thanks again.
