Feature Request: Remove borders from thumbnails

Asked by Dillon

For usability, is there a possibility of showing/hiding the internal, green image borders in the Sikuli IDE. For small icons or lines of text, it becomes hard to read the information in the image with the green border going through each image. Also request to move the similarity value to the right of the image rather than inside it.

No, not possible.

But you should check the alternate image thumb display:

IDE Settings/Preferences -> more Options -> Image Thumbs ... (at the buttom left)

If you switch it off and restart the IDE, the image name and the similarity will be shown in a text-only button in line-height.
When you hover over the button, the image will be shown as a popup with a rectangular border and no similarity badge.

When using this option, it is recommended, to no longer name the images with the standard numbering, but with real names (Settings -> ScreenCapture -> automatic naming -> off) and you need some naming convention.

Additionally you can use menu View -> Show Thumbnails to switch force and back between showing the thumbs and a textual representation of the image in your code (just as it is in the saved .py file). Changes will be reflected, when switching back to thumb display.

Can you help with this problem?
