Script Storage / version control options ?

Asked by jaylenne ayala on 2018-05-23

I'm currently using Sikuli and have developed a series of libraries and test scripts with it for automation, I need to plan on how I will store scripts, libraries, and images. Basically a way to have version control of our scripts since im currently doing and storing everything locally. I'm currently using Perforce for other projects, is it possible to use perforce for My Sikuli Project?

why not?

Version control is all about tracking changes in a file system.

Be sure to know, how the .sikuli folders are seen and used by SikuliX and especially the options of handling the captured images.

A good option would be to switch from storing the images inside the scripfolder to an imagepath solution, where all images are stored in a central place with a strict naming convention.

I'm storing a number of Sikuli modules / images in a Git repository. Any other should fit too.

Can you help with this problem?
