Python xlrd can it be used for data driven testing -- Is there any way to capture the values from images and list boxes and run with multiple test data sets from excel

My application is a windows desktop application and I need to fill data and select multiple list boxes is there any way in sikuli that we can do data driven testing by python xlrd. Can you please give detail steps for python xlrd integration with sikuli if possible with one sample test script which would be of great help

   Iam able to automate with sikuli for one test data but we need to do same steps for 100 multiple test datas , I need to know if I can use Apache POI from java or Python xlrd...
