I have installed both Java and SikuliX on Windows 7 but the "console" does not come up. The program appears to run, but no console is visible.

Asked by Rob Ward

I am running Sikulix on a Windows 7 Ultimate platform. My intention was to use it to program a macro to add potentially 1000's of data entries from an Excel spreadsheet to an existing web page. In short an enormous and repetitive task to say the least.

I have installed the latest version of Java Version 8 Update 121, and SikuliX per the instructions on the first YouTube video, then when attempting to do the Windows command, "runsikulix" the program appears to run but no console is visible on the Windows desktop. I also noticed that the program was unable to "locate" Java in one of the initial attempts to run the console.

The Java and SikuliX programs were both installed with the standard install, and no change was made other than what is recommended in the first video, but I did notice that Java is installed in the following directory "C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre1.8.0_121. and I suspect this might be the issue.

In any rate, do you have any suggestions, and is there a fix for this that I can use?

Also, will this program move data from Excel to an HTML web page, then operate command buttons?

My idea for it was to put the two windows side by side and because it is graphic based do a copy and paste thing between the two.
