“Fatal error” in Sikuli, libs dir is not on system path

Asked by Anil Kumar Reddy

Starting test case LEARN_SikuliImage,
[error] ResourceLoaderBasic: check: No valid libs path available until now!

RESTART all processes/IDE's using Sikuli for new PATH to be used!/nFor usages from command line logout/login might be necessary!
[error] Terminating SikuliX after a fatal error! Sorry, but it makes no sense to continue!
If you do not have any idea about the error cause or solution, run again
with a Debug level of 3. You might paste the output to the Q&A board.

at 1. yes
at 2. yes - no restart needed
at 3. system path is modified dynamically internally at runtime for this run only
at 4. it is not really an error, but something like a hint, that you have to at least login/logout or restart, to get the path modifications recognized by the system

1.1.1 is principally stable and will get final until beginning of February.
It is worth to give it a try. Be sure to have read and understood the corresponding infos.

HI RaiMan,

If i made a upgrade to latest Sikuli versions in my machine, Is that upgrade effects the test cases which are already running in the testbed?

What's the latest sikuli version?
Which version of Sikuli will fix the above errors ?
Is Sikuli-api and Sikuli-core should be in same version? What are the importance of both the versions? Why didnt you make it as a single?
Is Sikuli-api version 1.2.0 Will fix this issue (or) Sikuli-core version 1.2.2 will work? Which one is useful to fix this issue?

Please answer those question. It would be helpful to me to avoid those errors in my VM.

Regards,
Anil

--- Is Sikuli-api and Sikuli-core should be in same version?
has nothing to do with my stuff (http://sikulix.com), it is a somehow feature but not API compatible rewrite of the original Sikuli from 2010 by one of the original developers.

--- effects the test cases which are already running in the testbed?
sorry, no guarantee that it does not. Take care for your work and be always prepared to revert.

all the best.

Hi Raiman,

As per your suggestion, I upgraded my Sikuli version to 1.2.0. Still i found the same issue in that version also.

Asking us to restart our machine. We cannot restart our VM.
