sikuli-ide.sh not doing anything on Ubuntu

I have been trying for days to get Sikuli to work on Ubuntu. After I chased down some links I got a very promising outcome. Finally I just needed to run one .sh script. However, when I tried to run this, nothing happened and Sikuli still remaind un-available. Please help, I need this for a time-sensitive project.

I followed these (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VdCOg1bCmGo) instructions and got pretty far. However when I tried to run the IDE with "runsikulix.sh", I got know errors but also no response.
