How to display a window with some message and then hide

Say I want to show a window/dialog to provide quick status of the automated test and hide that window as specified in timeout - is this available?
Since SikuliX can use Jython and Jython can use Java, I can of course use Swing to show some dialog, see below link for an example. But I am hoping that there is something built-in from SikuliX that I can readily use.
