Unable to install Sikuli 1.0.1 on Red Hat 6.4

Asked by TomL

I am on a closed 64 bit linux system running Red Hat 6.4 and cmake 2.645.
When we tried to install Sikuli 1.0.1 we found we could not proceed.
We are tied in to Red Hat 6.4 and cmake 2.645 for the present
and I was wondering what version of Sikuli, (and support products) I ought to use.

The contents of the current installation disk is:
Sukuli-1.0.1-Offline-Setup
cmake-2.8.7.tar.gz
jasper-devel-1.900.1-16.el6_6.3.x86_64.rpm
leptonica-1.69.tar.gz
libicu-devel-4.2.1-9.1.el6_2.x86_64.rpm
libtiff-devel-3.9.4-10.el6_5.x86_64.rpm
opencv-2.4.9.zip
sikuli_install.sh
Sikuli_Quick_Start.rtf
tesseract-ocr-3.02.02.tar.gz
tesseract-ocr-3.02.eng.tar.gz
yum-plugin-priorities-1.1.30-30.el6.noarch.rpm

Thanks,
Tom

Hi RaiMan,

By way of introduction, I am working on a closed system, which can take a
month or more to get approval for a new installation.
I have approval for the list in the original email.

This system is running Red Hat 6.4 and is not compatible with cmake 2.87
that is part of the installation disk for 1.0.1.

So looked at http://www.sikulix.com/quickstart.html (comparing to the
quickstart document that came on the installation disk I have.)
It looks like I will only need to install:

   libopencv_core.so.2.4 libopencv_imgproc.so.2.4
   libopencv_highgui.so.2.4 libtesseract.so.3

with the Sikuli.

Does that mean that this version and the files installed with it are not
dependent on Red Hat 6.5 (and by implication cmake 2.87)
and I ought to be able to install it on a 64 bit Red Hat 6.4?

A friend pointed out a possible answer to my question from an older question titled: "CentOS 6.4 x86_64: How to Install SikuliX 1.0.1" sent on 2013-09-30.

fine.

... but if you find the time, I would appreciate, if you try with 1.1.0 as well.

Likely it would work, however the approval process is so slow I am going to have to start with 1.0.1 which is approved. which is why the solution I pointed to is the route I have to take for now. Thanks
