TextRecognizer: init: tessdata folder not found at /Applications/SikuliX-IDE.app/Contents/libs/

Hi there,

Thanks for this amazing tool..

I have download the version 1.0.1 .dmg file..
and I had a problem while using the text search feature.. I am getting :
 TextRecognizer: init: tessdata folder not found at /Applications/SikuliX-IDE.app/Contents/libs/

I tried to delete the lib folder.. restarting the IDE and no luck, the tessdata folder is not created...

Output :
[error] TextRecognizer: init: tessdata folder not found at /Applications/SikuliX-IDE.app/Contents/libs/
[error] Region.text: text recognition is now switched off
--- no text ---

Any help will be appreciated!

Did you select the tesseract ocr option at setup?

Hi raiman,

I havnt see any option when I ve ran the dmg setup file.. It creates the ide icon which I placed in the application folder..

You have to select option 5 on setup.

BTW: what dmg setup file?

it is a .jar file.

Hi Raiman,

Thanks for your quick reply, I used this setup : Sikuli-X-1.0rc3%20(r905)-osx-10.6.dmg

Can you please point me out to the link of the correct download
