Installing

I have downloaded the installation JAR file to my Win 7 64 bit laptop but when I double click on the JAR file, nothing happens. Can anyone please help ?

Hello,

Are you sure, you have java installed on your computer ?
To be sure, open a cmd, and type "java -version".

Thanks. When I do this I get a message indicating that "Java is not recognized as an internal or external command" but when I check my Java version on the Java website it indicates I have Java Version 7 Update 51

ok, then you do not have a vlid Java installation with respect to the usage from command line.

- uninstall everything named Java from prefs -> software
- purge any entry in system path pointing to any Java stuff
- in both program folders (32 and 64 Bit) purge the folder Java (if still there ;-)
- reboot

- download again (preferably the Win-64-Bit version
- install
- reboot
- check
