Sikuli 1.0.0: Windows: having problems to start the IDE

Asked by ircfas133

Hi, everybody:

I uninstalled old sikuli and unzipped the new one. But after clicking the sikuli-idle., nothing happened. I read the following README:

*** Currently ONLY usage from command line is possible (no SikuliX.exe yet)
But you might use any Windows approach or tool, to put something on the desktop, that can be double clicked to start the IDE

*** Using the contained command scripts
- use either sikuli-ide.cmd (starts the IDE) or sikli-script.cmd (interactive or run scripts) this way:
sikuli-ide.cmd (cannot be used to run scripts from commandline): -h (help for more options)
sikuli-script.cmd (supported options: -h (help for more options), -i (interactive), -r (run a script))

But I don't really understand the meaning, because i was thing I have to have a graphical interface in order to capture icons and write scripts. Could someone help me?

Exactly what it means:
- open a commandline window
- goto the folder where you unzipped the new version 1.0.0
- use sikuli-ide.cmd as mentioned in the read me

If you want a quick start, then you might add a link to sikuli-ide.cmd on your desktop.

BTW: It is not necessary to uninstall Sikuli X-1.0rc3. And there is no need to put the new version in the Program folder.

after i typed

sikuli-ide.cmd and it shows :

-Xms64M -Xmx512M -Dfile.encoding=UTF-8
ECHO is off.
+++ using as SIKULIX_HOME: C:\Users\Eric Wang\Downloads\Sikuli-IDE-1.0.0-Win64\
+++ this Sikuli version is 64-Bit
+++ Java not found
+++ ended with some errors

Could you please tell me what is going on? Thank you!

Pls. read all info on prereqs, installation and starting

beginning at
http://www.sikuli.org/download.html

You seem to not have a 64-Bit Java installed.

Can you help with this problem?
