Exceed on Demand, X11 Forwarding, and Sikuli

Asked by Kristin

I have a complicated situation but I will do my best to explain it.

I have a Linux machine (Box A) that is running several graphical applications. Each of these applications is forwarded to an Exceed on Demand (EOD) Server on Box B. From the EOD Server, these displays are then forwarded to a user's Windows machine (Box C). What I would like to do is install Sikuli on Box B and allow users at their Windows machines to interact with it and use it to look at the incoming displays from Box A.

Is this possible? I hope this makes sense. I can try to explain further if needed.

Thank you!

To run Sikuli features (script or Java):
- the machine needs a valid Sikuli installation (the IDE should work)
- the machine must have a real screen active (not headless) at time of script run

If you are not sitting in front of this machine, there are some approaches, to trigger scripts from remote and get information back (VNC, XML-RPC, ssh, ...).

Google should help ;-)

Can you help with this problem?
