how to read data available in the application using sikuli

We are in the process of automating java Applets using Selenium and opted Sikuli as the tool to recognize the obects in appelt. we have a requirement to read data from the invoice applet. How can we do this?

Either by using the Region.text() method (mind bug 710586) or by simulating select-copy-to-clipboard using the mouse features.
