Is there a way to rename an image after a screenshot is taken?

Asked by ABET

Whenever I take a screenshot of the image to be tested, I found it that the image file has been given some dummy name. Is there anyway that I can rename that file under IDE without going to the .html/.py and manually editing it? Could save time If I can update the name from the IDE and give it the png name that I want.

Have a look at the preferences and the preview pane, to get options for naming/renaming images at capture and afterwards.

Supposing you use X-1.0rc3

what preview pane? All I see under preferences are Screen Capture, Text Editing, and General Settings.

Sikuli version that I have is Version X-1.0rc3 for MAC. Wish I could attach a screenshot here so you can see it.
thanks.

If you click the image inside of the the Sikuli IDE the Pattern Settings window will pop up, and on the File tab should be "Filename:". You can edit it there to your heart's content. =)
