This is a random error, it may happen when system load is heavy...

--- use Sikuli 1.0 RC3 build on Mac OS X Lion
what do you mean by build? Have you built your own version from source?

--- using libvisionproxy plug-in
what do you mean by that: using ... plug-in?

--- Sikuli quits unexpectedly
Are you talking about the Sikuli IDE? Or do you mean a script running from command line?
Any symptoms or messages?

1. No, I got Sikuli 1.0 RC3 from sikuli.org and ran it.
2. I ran my Sikuli script from IDE. Sometimes, IDE quited, a popped up message box said Sikuli quit when using that plug-in. I can not remember the original message, since it is a random error.
3. Yes, I think it is the Sikuli IDE quited unexpectedly. I hit this problem several times especially when system load is heavy and response is slow.

I would try to capture a screenshot when I hit this problem again.

Use Sikuli-IDE.bat or Sikuli-IDE-w.bat to start IDE.

Look faq 1766, wether you are affected.

Hi RaiMan,
Accoring to faq 1766, I deleted the org.sikuli.ide.plist in ~/Library/Preferences. However, the Sikuli IDE is still crashed sometimes. I got a screenshot and some backtrace information. Where can I attach these files? Um...Please allow me send them to your mailbox <email address hidden>. :)

Thanks,
John

Always welcome ;-) Got your mail.

But this does not tell anything about the problem.
I need the error/exception message.

BTW: latest Java version installed?

Did you see crash.rtf? There are many messages in it... I thought correct Java is shipped with Sikuli, so I should not install extra Java versions...
Thanks RaiMan.

Sorry, run into a Apple Mail trap: only recognized the screenshot and not then second rtf attachment.

It seems, that it happens, while a script tries to find some text on the screen.

Sikuli does not come with any Java. Java is a prerequisite for Sikuli.

With Mac Lion Java is no longer installed/updated automatically. So please check your Java version.

On my OS X 10.7.2 in a terminal session I get:
> enter >>> java -version
java version "1.6.0_29"
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0_29-b11-402-11M3527)
Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 20.4-b02-402, mixed mode)

It seems, you do not have the newest Java version on your machine. The latest Java has to be downloaded from the Apple support pages and installed manually.

Can you help with this problem?
