Running Sikuli Executable on a machine that doesn't have sukuli installed

Asked by John Babin

Hi everyone,

Does anyone know if there is a way to run a sikuli executable on a machine that doesn't have the sikuli ide installed, or if there is a way to save the .skl as a .exe?

Thank you

not possible and currently Sikuli has no features itself to pack a script as an .exe.

on the other machine as a minimum requirement, Java JRE, sikuli-script.jar and the content of the Sikuli lib folder must be available together with the known system path requirements.

There are solutions available in the web, that allow to make an .exe of nearly everything (one available as freeware). some month ago I made experiments, which worked and I made up a solution using PortableApps.com. But I found, that it is not really worth the effort (it is about 15 - 20 MB that you have to carry around with every script).

So if you really need it, it is possible, to pack Sikuli scripts for distribution, but usually it is easier to install Sikuli on the respective machine.

Can you help with this problem?
