How to copy data from Salesforce.com to Sharepoint in Windows?

Asked by Michael

I frequently need to copy/paste from Salesforce to MS Sharepoint and I'd LOVE to automate it.

Currently, data is entered into Salesforce.com for each sales opportunity by a sales rep. This data includes the sales opportunity number, customer name, opportunity description, and the names of about three different sales people related to the opportunity based upon their job role.

I then need to manually capture and copy those fields to a custom Sharepoint site which is used to track each sales opportunity internally.

I use a copy/paste buffer tool called ARSClip so I can capture about all 6 fields to the buffer from Salesforce. I then can do a <Ctrl><B> (which is a custom key sequence for ARSClip) and select the data I want to paste in the appropriate fields in Microsoft SharePoint. I'm not stuck on doing it this way if there is a better option.

Please see a partial screenshot of the Salesforce screen which is posted at http://imgur.com/YIN7C.png

As you can see in the screenshot, the name of the Technical Sales rep is far to the left of the title. Is there a way to search for a title (such as Technical Sales Rep) and then highlight the full name (which sometimes may have up to 3 or 4 names for an individual's full name) and then capture it using something like <Ctrl><C>?

For another section of Salesforce, it the role is on the left and the data that needs to be captures is to the right of that.

I'd then also switch to SharePoint and post the data using the <Ctrl><B> options unless there is a better way.

Thank you so much for your help!

For what it is worth, I'm a programming newbie but a geek in other areas.

I think you can use the same trick to do your task.

Can you help with this problem?
