Windows 7 vs. Windows XP

Asked by Robert

I've been using Sikuli for a few weeks now under Windows XP, when my IT department decided to upgrade my machine to Windows 7. Now none of my scripts will work correctly. As best as I can tell, there are enough slight differences in the look and feel (fonts, colors, etc.) of Windows 7 that Sikuli cannot find the images in the "click", "wait", or "find" statements. Are there any tricks or settings that help Sikuli run the same script under various operating systems?

Erm,Have you tried XP Mode... If I remember correctly,MS rolled it for just this kind of situation. Check this for more info:
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/virtual-pc/download.aspx (I hope i don't get banished for publishing a MS link in here, but you did ask a valid question :D )
Cheers!
