Windows 2008 R2 Support ?

Asked by n4th4nr1ch

Any idea when/if your program will work on Windows 2008 R2? I have tried in compatibility mode as well. Running normally, double clicking the icon just does nothing.

Running in compatibility mode I get java virtual machine launcher 'could not find the main class: edu.mit.csail.uid.SikuliIDE. Program will exit'

If I am not wrong, it got nothing to do with Windows 2008. Windows 2008 R2 is 64 bit only if I did not remember wrongly and share the same kernel as Windows 7. Try the work around at https://bugs.launchpad.net/sikuli/+bug/511745 to use 32 bit JVM instead of 64 bit JVM assuming you have already installed the JRE for 32 bit.

Thanks that is correct, it does work when I change the batch file.
As a side note I recommend someone packages your product as such. It seems a bad idea to make the user go through this.

Thanks again

I am not sure if it is just my installation or a wide spread problem but for java if I use the x64 version to run the application it tends to have more problems or not run at all. So it may or may not be the problem with Sikuli, Charles have the same problem with x64 runtime as well.
