impact of UseDomainDecomposition .true.

Asked by kuangchungwang

Hi all:
I have tried to add UseDomainDecomposition .true. (with METIS ordering support ) for a 16 nm Si/ Ag interface structure in hope of parallelizing better.
However, there is no improvement regarding the timing.

Thanks for the help in advance !

That option is only for the order-N solver. So it should not matter for the regular diagonalization routines.

I am currently doing a transport calculation in Tests/TranSiesta-TBTrans/ts_au
. It contains two steps. step 1: electrode calculation 2. scat region calculation.

Is there way to use the "order-N" for the two steps ? It sounds faster.
