Delete captures

Asked by Scott Martin

I like the fact the screens are saved. However, it does tend to create clutter on your drive if you are taking a few misc shots.

I think it would be helpful to have a checkbox on the tab of the image. If checked, the image will be removed from the drive when you close the tab. This would save having to look through all the shots taken and remove the unwanted captures.

Regards,
Scott.

Hi,

Thanks for the suggestion. The problem behind it is indeed somewhat valid (though you can use the file browser for periodic cleanup). I don't think the proposed solution Is the nest though, because a checkbox on a tab wouldn't blend well - and since its not such a common action, it would be an eyesore.

How about allowing a right-click option of closing the tab and deleting the picture?

The right-click option is already implemented in latest experimental branch, see:

I like the idea of adding a 'delete-on-tab-close' option to the preferences. What do you think?

A right click on tab would work as it would allow you to decide on the fly. The preferences option would also be helpful to provide the default action. An option for a delete prompt would be nice as well.

Scott.
