Pre-defined block size

Asked by Scott Martin

I read the other posting about pre-defined, but I am not sure that it took the direction I was looking for.

I have used a Win32 program called TNT that has a capture mode of Fixed Size Region. When you choose this option, it enables Width/Height entries to where you can define the pixel size. Once you click begin capture, it draws are red outline that follows the mouse and allows you to capture the select area (within the red outline region).

This is very useful when creating screenshots for an application as you do not have to worry about resizing the images after.

Regards,
Scott.

There is already a bug with this subject targeted to the next release of Shutter (v0.85, linked to this question). I've not started to work on this yet, but I'll have a look at the application you've mentioned to get a better idea how this could be done.
Thanks for your input.

Regards
Mario
