How to upload using proxy?

To access the internet from my workstation at work, I need to go through a proxy. How do I configure Shutter, so that it uses this proxy (with username&password), when uploading images to external sites (like vgy.me and such)?

Shutter has no options for proxy configuration but uses the system wide proxy settings. Please check your distro's documentation (wiki or similar) to configure the proxy settings.
