Screenshot of Websites with Authentication or Apache's Basic Authentification

Asked by Flobian

Hi there!
Thank you for this nice program! The possibility to create screenshots from websites ist really great!

Is there a possibility to take a snapshot of a site with authentikation (e.g. cacti, nagios ...)? this would be great!

Thank you!

Flobian

Thank you very much for your suggestion.
This would definitely be a nice improvement, but i am not sure how this could be done right now.

I'll just open a feature request for this so we can track any new ideas. Currently i am working on the new version with some major improvements so i cannot promise anything.

Any update on this? I was wondering the same thing. I'm trying to take a screenshot of one of my own Facebook wall posts that scrolls off the screen so I can't capture it using a "normal" method. I tried using Shutter but of course it just captures the front page of Facebook, since it can't access my wall.

I've changed the related bug's status to "Won't fix", because we can't really do anything here. Currently we are using gnome-web-photo to take screenshots of websites.
So this feature will not get into Shutter unless the gnome-web-photo programmers add it to gnome-web-photo (or we switch to a better solution).

Can you help with this problem?
