integration with flickr?

this is not an issue or problem, instead I think will be very useful to add integration with a flickr account.

Picasa support isn't currently planned. Not enough time, not enough people.

There are no special plans to add such integrations but it is very easy to use external apps to do this, see:

You can also use f-spot - it supports picasa and flickr beyond others:
