Currently there is no way of adding a new hosting-site manually because the upload funtionality needs to be implemented for every single hosting-site. Maybe this will change in the future.

Do you have any special hosting-site you would like to see in GScrot?

Thank you for responding so quickly.
For now I'm using only the imageshack.us.
I'm expecting the deployment of this possibility of adding other sites.
Thank you and much success to you.

Photobucket.com would be a good hosting site to add, it is currently extremely popular in North America, boasting over six billion images hosted on their servers.

SergioJP, i know and i don't know if it will ever be possible to do this.

There is no generic API to upload images to any hosting site in the world that we could use. Most of them do not have an appropriate interface at all. In this cases we do an remote upload by sending an http request and parse the html given back by the site. This has to be done for every single site.
Even if the image hoster provides an API we can use it has to be integrated / programmed into GScrot as well.

By the way, the maintainer/owner of ubuntu-pics.de is just working on a new release of his site and one of the main changes will be internationalization (at least English at first). Imageshack, you mentioned it above, is now implemented in GScrot and you can even use postr (flickr uploader) directly in GScrot if it is installed (set up in preferenced >> open with).

Greetings
Mario

I would greatly appreciate if you try to add a way to set up a upload setting to a ftp server. I usually prefer hosting screenshots myself. And when I'm thinking about creating tutorials or something like that, it would be very handy to upload several files in a row to a ftp server instead of a public hosting service.

Thanks for your idea Tar-Minyatur.
This would definitely be very helpful. I'll file a bug for this an put it on the wishlist.
