Shutter crashing on Ubuntu 14.04

I have installed Ubuntu 14.04 and Shutter 0.93 (I did an upgrade, all was well in Ubuntu 12.04).
Shutter crashes when I click on any option in the programme. The Error says 'There was Error determining filename, and gives and Error while opening a filename . I do not know where that filename is stored in the Shutter settings.

The debug error says INFO: There is already another instance of Shutter running!

Please for some help as I use Shutter regularly!

This question can be closed. I tried editing thesettings.xml file, and then rebooted. It seemed to work
