Can the timer option be available from the toolbar dropdown

I needed to take a screenshot of a window after a delay. It took me a while to figure out that the delay had to be set in preferences. I was expecting something more like the menu capture where it starts counting down. It would be much easier if the timer option was available from the toolbar for all types of capture. So I could set it to say 5 sec. for a window and then reset it immediately.
