Shutter

Lightweight version of Shutter?

Hello,
I have been using Shutter for some time,and I can say that it's a great app. However my computer is somewhat old and Shutter tends to take up around 25-59 mb of ram. I am using linux mint 11 by the way. So ,I was wondering if there is a lightweight version of Shutter or any way to make it lighter (remove plugins,features etc).

Also I was wondering if there's any way to disable the image displaying on the app windows after I have taken a screenshot.

No, there is no lightweight version. If you don't need the screenshots saved in a session you might be interested in lookit or nanoshot (even though I don't like to recommend not using Shutter):
