Grab a whole webpage from a browser?

Asked by nick lankester

Greetings!
I would like to know how to use this software to grab a snapshot of a whole webpage from inside a browser...
I thought I read somewhere that this is one of the features but I cannot see a button anywhere that allows me to do this.
The windows app I used to use called Snaggit would auto scroll through the page and grab all the content regardless of the size of the page.. Can Shutter do this too?

thanks

Yes it can.
There's the button "Capture a website" on the toolbar and also from right-clicking the tray icon.
Under Edit>Preferences>Advanced there's a setting for the virtual browser width.

You must have gnome-web-photo installed for it to work. This package isn't in Debian, only Ubuntu, but Ubuntu's package works in Debian (Squeeze/Sid).
