You can checkout the experimental branch:
https://code.launchpad.net/~mario-kemper/shutter/experimental

You need to have bazaar installed to do the checkout via terminal:
bzr branch lp:~mario-kemper/shutter/experimental

It will create a new directory named 'experimental'. Simply call
'./experimental/bin/shutter' to launch Shutter.

Are you fine with that? Please notify me if you prefer a tarball
instead.

I think I'll be able to release the next version of Shutter (0.86)
within the next two weeks.

Thanks for the info. I will most likely wait for the update. No hurries. Some apps I just look forward to updates, even if I am not needing anything in particular.

It would be nice if you had a entry in a 'pre-release' repository instead of the requirement of bazaar.
