linux-newbie (many year win guy) requests check-list/how-to for shorewall install
Trying to achieve firewall before surf web.
Have downloaded iptables, extracted, surfed files there in, but can't see what to do next. Willing to re-do with shorewall.

    Yes. Web link was good place to start. At least have iptables working. Future looks good. Next going to try to install AVG anti-virus. :)
