Choose syntax highlighter?

Asked by McFly81

Hi there,

Scribes is a great text editor. I am using it in Ubuntu 10.04 via PPA (version 0.4-dev-build899-1). Since I am a Web Developer and my company is doing a lot of HTML/Mason coding:

1) Would it be possible to let the user choose which Syntax Highlighter to use? The only one doing correct syntax highlighting I found so far is the Highlighting done by VI. I tried to write a syntax highlighting for HTML/Mason for gtksourceview, but I found the Hightlighting of Perl Code somewhat broken, so HTML/Mason doesn't work correctly too. Long story short: It would be nice to have an option like
       "Syntax Highlighting done by
            - GtkSourceView (default)
            - VI(M)
            - maybe Emacs"
2) Can I set the font size in the editor to, let's say 9px, for ALL types of documents and not just specifically for one Language/File Type?

Best Regards,

1) I'll work on that soon. There's a bug report open for that feature.

2) Yes, change "document type" to "Defaults". Then change the font size.
