How to disable scribes menu animation?

It's slow on my PC, I looked everywhere in preferences and right-click menu but I cannot find the option to disable it. Can anyone please help me with this issue?

Solved. I installed broken version from Ubuntu PPA. Latest dev version works like a charm.
