Hey Andreas,

I'm in the same issues here :/ I like that app very much, but I guess it isn't compatible to the new GTK+3 framework currently.

See https://code.launchpad.net/screenruler - They created a new branch for GTK3 integration...

Blessings,

tommy

This was due to some dependencies which disappeared:
http://bugs.launchpad.net/screenruler/+bug/840515

Revision 41, app version 0.9.6 should run on 11.10.

Testing and feedback would be appreciated:

bzr co --lightweight lp:~ian-mcintosh/screenruler/trunk screenruler
./screenruler/screenruler.rb

Ian: it does not run. It gives me

./screenruler.rb:25:in `require': no such file to load -- gettext (LoadError)
 from ./screenruler.rb:25

Also, once it is working, it would be nice to provide a ppa until screenruler gets back to ubuntu in 12:04 :-)

Tomas #3:
You need to install Gettext for Ruby (sudo apt-get install libgettext-ruby1.8), screenruler works as expected after that.

Jereon: thanks, moreover
sudo apt-get install libcairo-ruby libgtk2-ruby ruby
was needed (other dependencies it seems). It seems it is working.

Can you help with this problem?
