Default settings for a screenlet window (below, above etc)

Asked by Märt Põder

The question stems from a recent bug reported at https://bugs.launchpad.net/screenlets/+bug/768097

There are couple of screenlets that are meaningful on top of other windows, for example NowPlaying, Workspace Switcher etc, but it's not evident that this should be default. I have always felt that the default should be to keep screenlets below. The problem on keeping them below is that user won't see screenlet starting under other windows and may be frustrated about that.

However, I'm willing to change the default to below, because it's more common way to use screenlets. If anybody has something against it, please give your arguments!

Also probably the default position to screenlet should be changed to the center of the screen, is that reasonable? By now using Unity in Ubuntu 11.04 some screenlets start hidden under the Unity launcher.

Since by now autostart on different workspaces doesn't work for screenlets (autostart doesn't remember the workspace and cannot easily do so), maybe sticky (on every desktop) should be a default setting?
