Update To Compile Against gee-0.8?

Asked by Antonio Malcolm

Are there any plans to update the project to work with the newer libgee?

It's my understanding that gee-1.0, which is actually the older v0..6.8, is no longer being maintained.

In order to compile on my system, which already has gee-0.8, as other libs installed require it (including granite, which scratch also uses, as does pantheon-files), I edited the CMakeLists files to compile against the newer libgee on my system.

It compiled without any issues related to gee, and without any others I couldn't readily fix, and appears to be running fine.

Just came across this, on githib, which mirrors, almost exactly, what I did to build locally:

Hi,
