Creating a simple plugin

Hello, I've been looking for information about creating plugins but the only information I could find was this question here https://answers.launchpad.net/scratch/+question/197094.

I want to add a simple feature that Scratch needs:

Creating shortcuts, for instance, pressing F5 executing a command "python project.py" and automate task.

you can give a look at scratch's plugins. You find them in plugins/ folder inside trunk bzr repo.
