problem importing sections to schooltool-2008

Asked by John Repass on 2009-02-06

I have written a script to generate the csv data to be imported into schooltool. Everything works great, except for the sections import.

When I attempt to do the import, I get the error message:
--------------------
Failed to import CSV file
The first row of the CSV file must contain the timetable schema id.
--------------------

the timetable I'm using is called south. I created it using the web interface.

This is the generated csv file with all but the first course deleted:
Winter-2009 is the correct term in the year 2009.
--------------------
"Winter-2009","south"
"","",""

"BA100","cbonifay"
"Monday","14:40-16:30"
"Wednesday","14:40-16:30"
"***"
"ahensley"
"hschmidt"
"cshuford"
"dterry"
"cemick"
"jnorman"
"msheetz"
"ssimmons"
"ewoody"

------------------------
There is no information about the error other than that message. I can't seem to find anything in the log files.

Is it looking for a schema id that schooltool generated internally?

If so, how do I find out what it is?

Is there anyway to browse through that data file like you would with a relational database to find out what it's expecting?

Thanks for your help.

Ah, our documentation is a little out of date here. Remove the term, in the above case you want to switch the line:

"Winter-2009","south"

to say:

"south"

Let us know if that works.

Can you help with this problem?
