How do I delete school years ?

I create a school year then managed to import the sample data, I now can't delete my original school year.

I see the following.

You can not delete the active school year. Unless you are deleting all the school years.

I want to delete the 2008-2009 Year.

In this respect - schooltool is kind of strict, as some operations are performed when activating a new school year/ deactivating old one we are not allowing going back in time (activating a school year before the active school year). Also we do now allow removal of an active school year. So you will have to delete both school years and reimport sample data into an empty school tool.

I imagine at some point we may allow you to *hide* school years if you just don't want to look at them. Basically, we're making things a little less convenient for you in the initial testing to make it less likely you'll make a catastrophic mistake a year or two down the road.
