Student schedule conflicts / overlap

I'm evaluating SchoolTool for use in a higher education institution. One of the important feature of a SIS for us is catching conflicts in class enrollments. For Example
Student James is enrolled in course A which is scheduled on Monday and Wed at 1.30pm. If I enroll James in course B which runs also at the same times I should get a warning of the conflict in the schedule since James can't be in 2 courses/sections running at the same time.
Another really useful feature would be that one of enrolling students into a section from the student view. So instead of going to a section and click on the students attending that section, I would go to the profile page of James and click on the sections he would need to be in. This also would be an easier way of catching conflicts.
So I understand School Tool is more suitable for K12 than higher ed. Too bad. Let me know if there is semething I'm missing. So hard to find the right software.
